United
States Citizen or Immigrant: U.S. citizens and immigrants whose
citizenship status is on their driver record may apply for a duplicate
license on
line or at their local driver license
office. To replace an ID card, apply on
line or in person at a Florida driver license office.
The fastest way to get a duplicate license or ID card is to go
to your local driver license office and
apply for a duplicate. The fee is $10 and you must present
two forms of identification. The fee will be waived for a stolen
license or identification card if a police report has been filed.
Please have a copy of the report with you when applying for the
duplicate.
If you are temporarily out-of-state and hold a non commercial driver
license and you want a duplicate license to be mailed to you there,
you may order on
line, by phone or by mail. You must
also request an address change to your out-of-state address. When
you return to Florida you should change the address back to your
Florida address. Address changes cost $10.
A duplicate identification card is $10 and you can apply on-line
or in person at a driver license office.
If you are temporarily out-of-state, and want to wait until you
return to Florida to get a duplicate driver license, then you can
receive a 90-day temporary permit. To request a permit, please write

Please provide your full name, date of birth, social security number,
Florida driver license number and an out-of-state address. There
is no fee for the permit. When you return to Florida you can be
issued a duplicate driver license at the driver
license office.

A 90-day temporary permit will be mailed to you along with duplicate
